Mixed Martial Arts(MMA)

MMA is a full contact combat sport that allows striking and grappling,both standing and on the ground,using techniques from various combat sports and martial arts.To learn MMA you need to learn at least four styles of martial arts,which are – Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.MMA involves punches, elbows, knees,kicks, takedowns,throws,chokes,joint locks,submissions and cranks.

Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two people usually wearing protective gloves throw punches at each other for a predetermined amount of time in a boxing ring.

Kickboxing

Kickboxing is a group of stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from karate mixed with Boxing. Kickboxing is practiced for self defence, general fitness or as a contact sport.

Wrestling

Wrestling is one of the oldest form of combat, which involve grappling type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns,joint locks, pins and other grappling holds. A Wrestling bout is a physical competition between two competitors who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu

BJJ is a martial art and combat sport system that focuses on grappling with particular emphasis on ground fighting. BJJ was developed from kodokan Judo ground fighting fundamentals. BJJ involves various chokes,joint locks, submissions.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai is also known as Thai Boxing , which is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the “art of eight limbs” as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows,knees and shins. Muay Thai become widespread internationally in the 20th century, when practitioners from Thailand began competing in kickboxing,mixed rules matches,as well as matches under Muay Thai rules around the world.

Weight Training

Weight Training is a common type of strength training for developing the strength and size of skeletal muscles. It utilizes the force of gravity in the form of weighted bars, dumbbells or weight stacks in order to oppose the force generated by muscle through concentric or eccentric contraction. Weight training uses a variety of specialised equipment to target specific muscle groups and types of movement. Sports where strength training is central are bodybuilding, weightlifting, powerlifting, strongman,hammer throw,shot put,discus throw,javelin throw etc.

Meditation

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as focusing their mind on breathing or on a particular object, mindfulness, thought,or activity – to train attention and awareness and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally clean state. Meditation may be used with the aim of reducing stress, anxiety, depression and pain and increasing peace , perception self concept and well being.
